It all began half a century ago when the seeds of their legacy were sown through their humble labor. With calloused hands and unyielding determination, the grandfather, alongside his children, embarked on a remarkable journey by manually moving sand and delivering it on donkeys for home constructions.

Driven by an unwavering work ethic, the family’s relentless pursuit of progress led them to embrace modern equipment such as trucks and backhoe loaders, revolutionizing the way materials were transported and handled. What once started with sand mining from rivers soon blossomed into a burgeoning business, as the demand grew exponentially. They expanded their operations to quarries, establishing their dominance in the construction industry throughout the region of Bekaa.

The 1990s marked a pivotal moment, as project after project came pouring in. The Srouji Family played an integral role in constructing vital infrastructure, such as the renowned Al Berdawni river in Zahle along the roads and utilities , including the iconic Dhour Zahle road which was cut through the heart of the Mountain. Their expertise in excavation and material transportation propelled them beyond the borders of Zahle and Bekaa, reaching the capital city of Beirut and contributing to the development of the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport road.
